It is almost mid of September & Navratri is not
even a month far. We are all set to welcome Devi Maa. I have already started
off with my puja shopping and planning even because being a Bengali, for me,
puja is not just about worshipping Maa Durga rather it's about looking gorgeous
and glamorous everytime I step out of my house whether it is for worshipping
Devi Maa or pandal hopping & having adda-time with friends. I hope you all
have also started off with your festive shopping. So ladies I'm here to help
you out cracking the tricks of looking drop dead gorgeous all the time this
Navratri.
PANCHAMI
You can go for a simple, comfortable yet stylish one
for Panchami since it is the beginning of puja and you cannot afford to lose
all your energy and enthusiasm wearing an uncomfortable piece. A casual and
stylish top along with a trendy denim will be enough to give you the look of
the day. Click Here
SHASHTHI
A beautiful, subtle and comfortable maxi dress can
make you the headturner in the puja pandals. You can also go for a Bohemian
look putting on a full-length kurti with long side slits & a palazzo of any
contrasting colour. Click Here
SAPTAMI
Go for a knee-length or thigh-length dress on Saptami.
You can even go for a playsuit but make sure whatever you wear you should look
hot, glamorous and stunning at the same time. Click Here
ASHTAMI
From Ashtami onwards the ethnic days start. I know it
sounds quirky but it is the fact. Specially in Kolkata, you will see everybody
around dressed up traditionally from Ashtami onwards and for women, saree is a
must to wear on Ashtami. So go for any beautiful saree of your choice but make
sure it is not much heavy so that you can move around with ease. Click Here
NAVAMI
This is the day we all will be playing `Dandiya’ and
we have to look our best for sure. So for a traditional Dandiya-look, pick up a
beautiful bright-hued lehenga and pair it up with a golden or silver choli or
any other gorgeous choli of your choice. Complete your look with a net or
Chiffon dupatta having some Gota sewed over it. Click Here
DASHAMI
It’s time for the final showdown as Maa is going back
to Kailash to her in-laws’ place (as it is said). We also have to bid good bye
to Maa with happy faces till the next Navratri. The entire country celebrates
this day with a boom. Somewhere women are seen performing Sindoor-khela(a
ritual in the state of West Bengal where women put Vermillion on each other’s
face and feed sweets to one another) and somewhere people celebrate
Vijyadashami by burning puppets of Raavana. Overall it is a big day and you
also need to look the brightest. Go for a Churidaar or Salwaar-Kameez with some
detailing for this day. The detailing may be of either embroidery or
mirror-work. This combination will definitely turn you into the showstopper in the crowd. Click Here
